WE ARE ALL AWESOME.

Darlings, the world is positively bonkers. It's beautiful! awe-inspiring! miraculous! magnificent! full of wonder and love and generosity... but… it's being corrupted by greed, deception, cruelty, and ineptitude. Many of our social systems and institutions fail us, and a powerful few are trying to take us on a calamitous course to tyranny and totalitarianism. In such a world, where it's easy to become downtrodden, uncertain, fearful, angry or sad, being joyful and choosing cheer is an act of courage and righteous defiance! Joy and cheer transform destructive energy and build in us the strength to know our value and to do the work of reclaiming what is ours by right. In truth, despite the bleak circumstances foisted upon us by the authoritarians, humanity is inherently good, resourceful and abundant. We are meant to thrive and be happy! We are all awesome.

Even a brief exploration of history shows how humanity has time and again transformed challenges into art. This is Crucial Creativity: the courage to actively curate our lives in full recognition of the extraordinary moment in time we are all sharing; in other words, the courage to see, imagine and do, even when the odds seem against us. Resilience is knocking at the door asking us to greet it with holistic confidence. How do we find that?

We need spaces where we can rally together to explore and celebrate how good it is to be alive. Indeed, each of us is uniquely and supremely equipped with curiosity and capability, in the endlessly and brilliantly expanding [cinnamon] spiral of triumph that is life on Earth.  Lively Iris will be one such place... A place for both comfort and inspiration, dedicated to serving nourishment in all its myriad forms: food and bev, art, music, wellness, and above all, enthusiasm!

Lively Iris Café & Creative Lounge will be a thoughtfully curated place with an upfull, wondry, bright, comforting and fun vibe, with oodles of supplies and resources for making, playing, learning, reflecting, dreaming, working and resting.

We will serve tasty beverages and specialty goodies, treats and foods made from original recipes with local and/or organic ingredients and a purposeful focus on offering something for everyone: classic, gluten-free, paleo/WAPF-friendly, keto/low carb, and vegan items will be available.

Lively Iris will participate in fortifying the regional economy by investing in local producers and suppliers, supporting cash and alternative currency, and engaging in awareness efforts about issues that are affecting our freedoms.

Additionally, Lively's going to be, well, lively!! We'll be hosting cozy musical performances, art and photography shows, and very special community presentations and events. It's going to be a small place with big love!
